Every image you upload to the Botble media library is automatically compressed, resized if you want, and converted to WebP or AVIF. Your pages load faster, your storage stays small, and you never touch an image editor again.

Large JPEG and PNG files are one of the most common reasons a website feels slow. Smart Image Optimizer fixes this at the source. The moment an image is uploaded to the Botble media library, it is optimized automatically, with no extra steps and no external service. Everything runs on your own server.

How it works

1. You upload an image as usual.
2. The plugin processes the original pixels once, so quality is not degraded by repeated re-encoding. It corrects orientation, resizes, strips metadata, compresses and converts.
3. The result is verified. A broken file never replaces your upload.
4. The media record is updated and every thumbnail size is rebuilt from the optimized file.

• Admin-only mode: optimize only uploads from the admin panel, or front-end uploads too (customers, vendors).
• Safe by design: the output file is verified, a memory guard skips images too large to process safely, and any error is logged without ever breaking an upload.
• Server check on the settings page shows your image library (GD or Imagick) and whether it can write WebP and AVIF.
• Savings statistics: see how many images were optimized and how much space you saved.
• Bilingual admin interface (Persian and English) with a permission for the settings page.

Good to know

• Only new uploads are optimized. Existing images are not changed.
• If your server cannot write the chosen format, the plugin falls back to compression and resizing without conversion, and tells you why.

Requirements

• Botble CMS core 7.3.0 or newer
• PHP 8.2+
• GD or Imagick, the same library you selected in Botble's media settings. WebP requires WebP write support. AVIF requires AVIF write support (GD with imageavif on PHP 8.1+, or Imagick with an AVIF delegate).

Installation

1. Upload the ZIP from Admin → Plugins → Add new, or extract the arya-image-optimizer folder into platform/plugins/.
2. Activate Smart Image Optimizer.
3. Open License Plugins in the admin menu and activate your license key.
4. Go to Settings → Others → Smart Image Optimizer, review the options and save.

By default, new uploads are converted to WebP at quality 82.
